I have been studying voice with Liz Ficalora for two years. After coming to Nashville, three years ago I realized that in order to properly blend my classical training from NYU and my natural feel for gospel and blues I would need a stylist that could take my vocal properties to a new level.

Ms. Ficalora has been able to blend my vocal range with emotions and expression. This has enabled me to work with other musicians from the alternative country and traditional gospel market in a way that has given me critical acclaim from the prestigious London publication, The Maverick Magazine. Ms. Ficalora has a true gift of encouraging and fostering talent that has become invaluable to me. I do not believe that my career would be where it is today without her. Thanks to her excellent skills a teacher and mentor, I am privileged this year to travel regionally, playing upcoming shows at the esteemed ”Zydeco” theatre in Birmingham, AL, Chatanooga Market festivals, Memphis in May, WMPG’s live acoustic series in Maine and other venues that will be taking me to new heights.
I would highly recommend her teaching abilities and her intelligent, insightful compassionate method of molding talent and forming it into a professional delivery. I hope you realize that, if we hadn't been standing already, the Unity Singers would have been on their feet in appreciation for all the creative energy you poured into the CD project. I suspect that none of us truly knows the enormous effort that went into making it a reality, let alone something we can all feel good about. We're such a divergent lot, with many vocal styles and skills, but you brought out the best in us all.

Perhaps you are content behind your drums and out of the spotlight, but I think a little acknowledgement of your tremendous contribution to our worship experience can't hurt every once in awhile.
